Beautiful Heart Favors!

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

Is there any more effective way to express your love than to get married with a ceremony in the same month as Valentine’s Day? Putting the symbol of love all around our wedding day struck me as a wonderful way to celebrate marriage. My initial purchase was a stunning tiara that I discovered while browsing on the web. There were many wonderful decorations and supplies to choose from, such as the invitations I bought. I mailed out small cards that had two silver-colored hearts on the front of them for our invitations. The only thing I really had to do was write in the information, like the place and the date, and the rest was already filled out in beautiful calligraphy when we got them.

When the invitations were completed, I had to go forward with putting together the exact products that I would use. On each of the pews I had big red velvet bows with ribbon strung from one pew to the next. The altar was beautifully decorated, with wonderful candle holders and candles, including our unity candle which was adorned with a heart made of red roses. On the scene at the wedding, we put many pink and red roses mixed together, in the floral bouquet that I carried. We had doves let out of cages as my groom and I departed from the church building, and it was one extra touch that I thought was just majestic.

Next on my list of what to do, was to check the accessories and the heart wedding favors for our guests. There were plenty of marvelous ideas for thank you gifts that fit right in with a hearts wedding. There was even decorative confetti that could be sprinkled around the reception tables to add a little extra to the romantic atmosphere. Not only did I find the accessories I needed to set up my reception tables with style, but I also found the perfect hearts wedding favor for our guests.

The tables that our reception each had a floral arrangement of pink, red, and white roses with small hearts mixed in with them in the center of the table. I got a place card holder that was the prettiest I had ever seen for each place setting, and two hearts wedding candles that made it feel like love was in the air. I ordered beautiful little silver bells with a heart shaped handle that make a very lovely keepsake from our wedding day for each of our guests. Our wedding cake was decorated with little hearts all around the bottom layer and little tiny pink and red roses trimmed each layer. Our hearts wedding cake had a white porcelain topper on it that complimented the rest of our cake décor beautifully.

The hearts and flowers that saturated our wedding made it the very definition of what a love-filled, Valentine’s Day wedding should be. I’m just glad I had the internet to turn to, it made everything so much easier.

Adorable Hearts Wedding Invitations!

Sunday, May 17th, 2009

The couple picked out a heart wedding for their choice of décor, and what they did with it was spectacular. From the invitations to the wedding favors everything had cute little hearts on it. The pretty heart favors they sent out had a couple of silver hearts on the outside with the scheduling and contact information all printed so that it was right there when you opened it up. With the silver on them, they were rather striking. They picked out very elegant candle holders for the unity and tapered candles, and of course there were two small hearts dangling from the unity candle. The flowers and candles added an exquisite touch to the altar. Hearts were on the sides of the church pew where the wedding tulle was attached. I’m sure that the hearts were related to the wedding day falling on Valentine’s Day. It was an incredible wedding, highlighted by a bride that was so lovely, she could have been an angel.
The décor of the reception included a plethora of hearts and flowers. All the centerpieces were bouquets of gorgeous red and white roses, with little hearts sticking out of each one, and they had little silver hearts wedding place card holders at each table setting. The wine glasses and champagne glasses made the tables sparkle. She did an awesome job of designing the place settings at the reception. The champagne flutes were long stemmed crystal and the wine glasses were personalized with the names of the bride and groom and the date of their wedding. The champagne glasses on bride and groom table were really something special. It was very much like the silver hearts wedding invitation they sent out; it was a silver double hearts wedding champagne glass for each of them.
They had a five-layer hearts wedding cake that was really yummy. It really was quite delicious and really gorgeous. The cake topper she chose, believe it or not, wasn’t a heart, but, figurines that looked exactly like the bride and groom. That cake topper was one of a kind, and it was the first time I’ve ever seen something like that. She found it online at the same place she got the rest of the items she needed for her ceremony and reception. They apparently do customizing on wedding toppers, and all she had to do was send in photos of her and her fiance and they made the special cake topper couple. I’m sure they’ll treasure that forever.
It turned out to be a adorable silver hearts wedding. First there was a lovely votive candle holder and also coffee favors decorated in a groom package for the men and a bride package for the ladies, with little heart shaped coffee scoops. It struck me as a neat pair of gifts to give everyone. Actually they had a lot of cute ideas for the ceremony and reception. I know hearts are the a perfect choice for a Valentines Day wedding, but I was impressed with all the gorgeous decorations and accessories she found for everything. In my opinion, the wedding cake topper took the cake, so to speak. It would be great if they did that for birthdays and other ocassions too. She told me they have supplies and decorations for many events, and promised to show me where she shopped. Well, anyway, the wedding ceremony and the reception were a definite success and everyone had a wonderful time. I’m sure the bride and groom are having a great week in Mexico too. I can’t wait until they return and I can see all the pictures she took, listen to all the stories of the fabulous places they saw and things they did. From the brochures she showed me, it’s looks magnificent.
