This was my first marriage and I wanted to plan the perfect wedding shower. I needed help, so I asked my sister if she would like to help me plan it. She agreed and was excited as much as I was. I know there is a lot of work to be done when planning a shower and I was eager to get started. I always was good at planning showers, so I knew I could make this wedding shower a success. I didn’t have a lot of time and I knew I better get started with the planning.
My sister and I searched for a hall to rent that was big enough to accommodate all of the guests. We found one and it was near my house. We started looking on the web for decorations and gifts. There were a lot of themed wedding ideas that were gorgeous. I finally found all my decorations and purchased all the gifts I needed for the wedding shower. Our next step was to find shower favors. There were so many to choose from. This took some time to decide when looking at all the wonderful shower favors. I saw this handkerchief and knew right away that this is what I am going to give my guests. I thought I could purchase one for me and have it on me the day I get married. I seen a adorable silk handkerchief that was so beautiful. I was so sure that all my guests would fall in love with the men’s handkerchiefs. I decided to go with a lace handkerchief as a wedding favor for all my guests.
Everything was turning out. We had the hall and ordered all the decorations, gifts and wedding favors. I had to decide what type of food I was going to get for my wedding party. I was going to have it catered, but it was way too expensive for my budget. I went through my recipes and found some awesome dinners and side dishes that we could make. Our local bakery makes cakes for showers, so that is who we ordered it from. All the planning was finished. I picked out these gorgeous invitations and mailed them. All we had to do was wait until the day of the shower.
My shower day was here and me and my sister went to the hall early to set everything up. It took us about an hour to decorate the hall. When we were done decorating the room, we couldn’t get over how awesome the room looked. I made sure that I took a picture to remember how great it looked. We decorated the tables with a centerpiece and put the cake on the food table. All the tables had a cotton handkerchief at each setting. If you were to walk in the room, you would think how gorgeous it looked.
My guests finally arrived and we all had such a great time. My guests enjoyed each other’s company. We had fun playing games and eating. My guests talked about how much they enjoyed getting a handkerchief. I received so many gifts from all my family and friends. The shower was coming to a end and I wanted it not to end, because we were all having a good time.
At the end of the shower and when everybody was going home, my guest told me that they really loved the handkerchief. I am so glad I went with the handkerchief for the wedding favor. My shower was a success and will be in my memory always. I am glad that my sister was so helpful in planning the shower with me. It meant so much to me that she was a part of this.|It made me feel good that she was by my side through this.|She really touched my heart during this.[/spin] I picked her to be my maid of honor, because of that.
