Being my first time being married, I wanted to plan a picture perfect wedding shower. I needed assistance in planning my wedding and talked to my sister to see if she could help me with the planning. She said yes and was as happy as I was. I know there is a lot that goes into planning a wedding shower and I was excited and ready to get started. This was not my first time planning a shower and I knew how great my shower would be. There was not a whole lot of time for me to plan my shower and I thought I better get started soon.
Me and my sister were looking for a place to have the shower and enough space for all the guests. We found a hall close by my home. We went on the computer to look for decorations and gifts. There were a lot of themed wedding ideas that were gorgeous. I finally found all my decorations and purchased all the gifts I needed for the wedding shower. Our next step was to find shower favors. There were so many to choose from. This took some time to decide when looking at all the wonderful shower favors. We saw a cotton handkerchief that was so elegant, that I decided this is what I want to give my guests for a wedding favor. This made me decide that I wanted one for myself on my wedding day. I seen a dress handkerchief that was so beautiful. I was so sure that all my guests would fall in love with the men’s handkerchiefs. I planned to get the lace handkerchief for a shower favor for all my guests.
All my plans we going well. We booked the hall and purchased the decorations, gifts, and wedding favors. I now had to plan what I was going to have as food for my shower. I thought about catering it in, but that was expensive. I went through my recipes and found some awesome dinners and side dishes that we could make. We ordered the cake at the bakery down the street. All the planning was done. I found these awesome invitations and mailed them out to family and friends. All we had to do was wait until the day of the shower.
My shower day was here and me and my sister went to the hall early to set everything up. It did not take long to decorate the hall. When we were done decorating the room, we couldn’t get over how awesome the room looked. Luckly I bought my camera with me because I wanted to remember how gorgeous the room looked. We decorated the tables with a centerpiece and put the cake on the food table. All the tables had a cotton handkerchief at each setting. The minute you saw the room, you would say how beautiful it looked.
I had such a good time with my family and friends after they arrived. We all enjoyed each other’s company. We enjoyed the games and feasted on some good food. My guests talked about how much they enjoyed getting a handkerchief. It was amazing to see how many gifts I did get. I did not want my shower to end, because I had so much fun and so did my guests.
When it was time for my guests to leave, they commented how much of a good time they had and were happy to get the handkerchief. I was so happy that I picked the handkerchief for my wedding favors. This day turned out so good and will be remembered for a life time. I am so glad that my sister was there to plan the shower with me. It made me feel good that she was by my side through this. I picked her to be my maid of honor, because of that.
